Description

VideoShears reads a UDP connection and breaks the incoming video into easily manageable chunks for on-line analysis, searching, reuse and data extraction. If the incoming stream uses closed GOP structure, then the edit is lossless and all KLV data in the user data fields is maintained. If the incoming stream does not use closed GOP structure, then data loss is kept at a minimum. Contact us for more information on lossless frame accurate stream editing of non-closed GOP streams.

VideoShears's command syntax is straightforward and powerful. You simply fire off VideoShears with an input defined and output options selected.

Input:
• UDP port,

• IP address or

• file name

• MPEG-2 Transport and Program streams supported

• MPEG-1 System streams supported

Output:
• passthrough allows the entire video to be filed with no edit

• chunk size (seconds or # frames)

• log file option to receive verbose output

• adjustable output mux rate

• adjustable output sector size

• adjustable output video stream ID

• adjustable output audio stream ID

• adjustable output program number

• adjustable output program map PID

• adjustable output PCR PID

• adjustable output video PID

• adjustable output audio PID
